Technical Details
The wine had a pre-fermentation maceration of 130 hours and a post-fermentation maceration of 104 hours. The wine was punched down by hand 2 times each day during macerations and fermentation. 100% native fermentation; 100% whole clusters. All individual wine components, including free run and press fractions, were kept separate until final blending. The wine had an elevage of 18 months in French Oak. The oak profile is 30% new French oak (predominantly from Troncais and Alliers) and 70% neutral French oak. The wine achieved its sparkly brilliance from 3 judicious rackings, no fining agents were employed. The wine was very lightly filtered to capture any remaining lees.

The nose is bold and expressive, offering waves of blackberry compote, charred rosemary, smoked brisket, crushed pink peppercorns, and a whisper of citrus zest. On the palate, this wine strikes an impeccable harmony between its dark, brooding fruit, savory undertones, and exotic spice. Full-bodied and densely structured, it carries firm, gripping tannins that provide a commanding framework, while the acidity keeps everything fresh and energetic. As the wine unfolds, hints of graphite, wild herbs, and black olive tapenade emerge, leading to an extended, spice-tinged finish that lingers with power and grace. Highly recommended. 2025-2035.
